Just as you I have reflected that people seems to have a clear view of what Business Value is it's just not the same as anyone else.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Best Regard
Patrik Malmquist - www.applitude.sePatrik Malmquisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13977188173855309360noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7930876570525471458.post-6099447665320258352008-03-12T11:27:00.000-04:002008-03-12T11:27:00.000-04:00Thanks Henrik. And the delivery of business value is one form of that giving (even if Adam Smith's invisible hand lets us feel as if we are achieving our own goals by giving).
So, I could not agree more that business value is the key thing.
And we must think about how to make business value clearer and more compelling to others. Or, perhaps how to entice them to go "the little lower layer" as Melville put it; to understand it more fully. One issue (perhaps not the most important) is that, while some people get excited by money, others' eyes glaze over.

Thanks.Joe Littlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13413810050491070483noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7930876570525471458.post-58763008114034535022008-03-12T09:48:00.000-04:002008-03-12T09:48:00.000-04:00It is disappointing that your article hasn't garne...It is disappointing that your article hasn't garnered any responses. The topic should have very high priority for anyone that is serious about agile.

To put it bluntly, from a business point of view, the ability to deliver more business value than other methodologies isn't just a good selling point. It is the only selling point that matters.

One might interpret the lack of response as due to everyone being to busy delivering business value, and knowing exactly how to go about it, to spend time discussing it.

I doubt that is the reason for the silence. I suspect that relatively few people understand the importance of what you try to accomplish.Kallokainhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15756733532883677794noreply@blogger.com
